notes on our COMPANY

My agricultural holding is born from the deep passion that I have always felt towards nature in general, in particular towards agriculture. So I decided in 2018 to combine my studies in agricultural sciences with a real activity.

I’m lucky to live in Tuscany, in Reggello, named the city of oil. the typical conformation of the territory, the climatic conditions and the soil characteristics make it one of the most suitable areas for olive cultivation.

WORK

Unfortunately this opportunity is not appreciated and noticed by everyone, indeed a small part of the population believes and sees what surrounds them. The challenge of my company is to make the oil made from the olives produced here truly unique, because the characteristics are truly remarkable that they can be appreciated all over the world. All the work and commitment behind a bottle of oil is the fruit of my passion and dedication to the fields throughout the year.

HISTORY
AND TERRITORY

Our plots are all located in the outskirts of Reggello, a town that rises on those that 3 and a half million years ago were the shores of a large lake. Today, there is a large natural basin closed by the Pratomagno massif in North-East and bordered to the southwest by the Chianti hills.
We are cultivating on the banks of the ancient lake and sometimes even on the seabed; therefore the soil has a stony origin deriving from the tributaries that fed the lake and at the same time a certain amount of clay, silt and organic substance (deriving from the sediments that had accumulated at the bottom of the lake and that with the years suffered of degradation processes and humification).
These pedological and orographic characteristics give to Valdarno the ideal characteristics for the cultivation of vines and olives. The slopes in fact have been shaped by man over the centuries, who have created terraces and banks using the skeleton that they gradually removed from the plots.
